Technical Lead – NodeJS/AWS

Overview:

One of the World’s best known brands are currently searching for a dynamic and highly motivated Team Lead with a deep expertise in Node.js and AWS to join their engineering org in Dublin. In this pivotal role, you’ll merge innovation with efficiency to ensure our team meets the objectives of our product launches. You will play a critical part in guiding the development of high-quality software solutions, ensuring on-time and on-scope project deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of developers in designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable and efficient software applications using Node.js on AWS technologies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Architects, and Global Teams.
• Provide hands-on technical development and mentorship to team members, fostering skill enhancement and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure that software aligns with established coding standards and architectural guidelines.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies in development.
• Manage and prioritize the development team’s workload to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for communication between stakeholders and the development team.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated success in leading and managing development teams, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• 7+ years of software development experience, with a focus on Node.js and JavaScript-based application development.
• 3+ years of experience working with AWS services, including Cloud Formations, WAF, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD processes, and DevOps principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of delivering creative solutions to challenging problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
• Familiarity with Azure AAD (B2C), Adobe (AJO, AEP, AEM).
• Knowledge of frontend technologies, such as React or Angular.
