Senior Software Engineer (Willing to Learn Elixir) – IP Infringement Prevention Tech Company

Position Overview:

As Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic development team, focused on building and enhancing our IP infringement prevention technology. You will work on high-impact projects, collaborating with a team of talented engineers, designers, and product managers. This role offers a unique opportunity to dive into Elixir, a functional programming language known for its scalability, fault-tolerance, and concurrency features.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Ruby-based applications and services that are vital to our IP infringement prevention technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy new features and enhancements.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Gain proficiency in Elixir and contribute to the development of Elixir-based components, expanding your skill set.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, sharing knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and query optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for learning and a willingness to acquire new skills, particularly in Elixir.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to functional programming concepts.
  • Familiarity with Elixir or other functional programming languages.
  • Experience with scalable and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of IP infringement or content protection technologies.
