Data Platform Infrastructure Technical Lead (DBRE) – 12-Month Rolling Contract

About the Role

We’re hiring a Data Platform Infrastructure Technical Lead to support a complex, enterprise-scale business undergoing major transformation. This 12-month rolling contract offers competitive rates and long-term stability.

Sitting within the Infrastructure & Operations team, you’ll provide technical leadership across database reliability, cloud infrastructure, and automation. You’ll lead architecture discussions and ensure the performance, availability, and security of mission-critical database systems in a hybrid Oracle & AWS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Database Reliability & Performance: Monitoring, tuning, backup & recovery, disaster recovery planning.

✅ Architecture & Cloud Strategy: Lead design discussions on data integration, resiliency, scalability, and recoverability.

✅ Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build, automate, and maintain cloud and on-prem environments.

✅ Enterprise-Grade Operations: Ensure database security, compliance, and high availability in a large-scale business setting.

✅ Mentorship & Leadership: Guide teams, drive best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 Proven Technical Leadership in database and cloud infrastructure.

🔹 Enterprise-Scale Experience – complex environments with both business and technical challenges.

🔹 Strong Oracle & AWS Cloud Skills – AWS DBaaS, AWS Architecture, and Oracle database expertise.

🔹 Hands-on Experience in:

• Database Design & Management
• Cloud Infrastructure & Automation (IaC – Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
• Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Analytics & Monitoring

Certifications in AWS (DBaaS, Architecture) and Oracle are a plus.
